The Model Exhibition
Over the years we have amassed an amazing collection of model aircraft, either directly from the Museum volunteers or more often kindly donated by well-wishers or family members of people who made them. Many of the models were in small collections in their own right such as WW1, WW2, RAF, Royal Navy etc but as we gained more and more we decided that we needed a better exhibition setting to be able to display them properly. Over the past year we have purchased a new large exhibition cabin and display cabinets in which to house the superb collection.
Mike Merry one of the Museum Trustees, has worked tirelessly to place all the best models into a fantastic display that will enable our visitors to enjoy all of these great examples of aircraft over the years. As and when we receive new donations we will be able to rotate some of the models we have currently in storage and refresh the exhibition occasionally.
